After 23 years of international banking, finance and marketing in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and the U.S. with major banks such as Citibank, Wells Fargo and Bankers Trust, it was time for a change.
My wife, Anne Jenkins, is a full time professional artist. While we were living in New Orleans, I helped her when she exhibited at the city's two art markets and a gallery in Bay St. Louis, MS. I noticed that although her colleagues produced great art, they were having some challenges making a living as artists and running their own businesses.
I decided to use my banking and marketing experience to create an art-centric, interactive short workshop. It would give the artist the tools they need to make their wonderful art become their successful business, whether it's part-time, supplemental income or full-time...
Thus "The Entrepreneurial Artist Workshop" was created.
Normally given at the Point of Art Gallery and Studio in Union Point,
it is also offered offsite.
